Quirks

No 4 is over two hundred years old and has developed a number of quirks over the years. Please take note of the following quirks in order to make your stay as enjoyable as possible.

Windows:

This is a listed building and so we have to retain the original sash windows. These can be temperamental so please be very gentle opening them. If they feel a bit stiff, please do not force them.

Bathroom:

The shower is operated from the bath taps, not the shower dial.

TV in the Snug:

Press the red button on the larger Panasonic control until screen flickers on. The press AV button so that the HDMI2 function is highlighted. Then press the round button on the smaller Amazon control. Use the round button to scroll to chosen streaming service.

Dishwasher:

Press on button. Press P button until the 28’ sign lights up. Press the flashing play button so it becomes solid. Place capsule in the box in the door and close the door. After a pause, the cycle will begin,

Dog Walking:

If you need to stretch their legs first/last thing, the easiest place is St John’s Churchyard. It’s a five minute walk away and is a safe, grassy, social place to take them. There are waste bins by the main, stepped porch.

Simply leave the Courtyard Mews and turn left and walk for three minutes up the lane. Cross over the crossroads at Lescudjack Road and you will see St John’s ahead on the left.

If you fancy a slightly longer wander, there’s Princess May Park. Carry on past St John’s and continue up Penare Terrace. At the fork, take the right and you will see the recreation grounds ahead.

Or you can take the cycle route/Coastal Path accessed behind the railway station car park. Turn left and you will reach a beach after about 20 minutes.

Deliveries:

The postcode is TR18 2HQ but this refers to the front of the house.

The Google coordinates for the Mews Apartment entrance are:

50.12293952406815, -5.532781181352632

Through the blue gate marked Courtyard Mews, then second blue door on the left.
